Saul Bass is one of those intangible designers who fills me with a mix of feelings: part inspriation, part pessimisism that I’ll never be that great. I’ve been told that design is the logical answer to a problem; great design makes you say, “Duh, like there was any other way.”
Not Coming to a Theater Near You has created a great gallery of Bass’ work Titles Designed By Saul Bass. It’s not video, just a series of click-through still frames, but it’s still a great look at a collection of his movie title work.
